Baby Rayleigh

Two weekends ago I had the privilege to host my sweet friend a baby shower. Trystan and I have been friends since birth..literally. It was a sweet time celebrating this time in Trystan's life.

How cute are we!!

We could always be found in matching outfits.

It is hard to believe that baby Rayleigh will be here in less than a month. I had a blast helping host a shower for Trystan.  I can't get enough of all the pink. I brought these yummy cupcakes with me from Mobile. Everyone LOVED them! Thanks Twist Cupcakes. You never disappoint.

My sweet mom let us have the shower at her house. I found most of the decorations at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

A fun tip for the next party you plan...use scrapbook paper (like the pink stripe and pink polka dot paper you see in the picture) to decorate with. I used the paper I bought to sit the plates and forks on. I also had the cups on it but you can't see it from the picture. It really turned out nice and is a cheap decorating idea!

You can also never go wrong with decorating with pom pom balls. I have made a few for my classroom and I just couldn't have a shower without making some.

We can't wait to meet Rayleigh! You are one loved little girl!

I can't believe that in less than a month a sweet little girl will be welcomed in to this world. You are so blessed little one. I can't wait to meet you!

Bible Study

I can't wait to start back Bible Study tomorrow night. I love love getting together with other sweet ladies and studying God's Word. We are diving in to this tomorrow night. If you have never read or did a study by Elizabeth George I highly recommend her. This book is simply amazing.

Organization

Since becoming a Mrs. I have learned many things. I love everything that comes with the Mrs. title. Recently I have discovered how much I love meal planning. I started doing it this month and I have enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. I find joy in looking through the sale papers each week and planning meals. I have only done it this month but boy I can already see a huge difference in our bank account. If you are reading this and do the same thing each week I would love your tips and tricks.

I also set up a binder to help organize "life". I got the idea from of course Pinterest but I made it to fit our life. I am a little (others may say a lot) OCD. I have set up a budget for our little family and I am also tracking what we spend and recording it on a excel sheet I created. I know you are probably thinking she has totally lost it and maybe I have BUT... It has worked for us and it isn't as hard as it seems. I would love to pass on the files I created for our binder and you can edit them to fit your needs. Just leave me your email and I will pass them along.

We have loved this new system. Our money is being managed in a whole new way. We are spending less and saving more. We recently finished up a financial class with our Sunday school class at church. I highly recommend any newlywed couple to do this. The curriculum is from Crown Ministries, not exactly like Dave Ramsey but very similar. It was so helpful!

What are you doing to save money?
